2025 UPDATE: The hotel no longer works with OYO, Agoda, or other travel apps, so you’ll need to call their number to book. In my opinion, the quality has dropped a lot, especially the water pressure. The bidet isn’t much use when the pressure is so weak. Parking is easier to find than at other hotels. Comfort, the bidet, and the convenient location used to be the best parts for me. This time I had a king-sized bed, which was quite spacious, and I liked the atmosphere. On the first floor the water pressure is good, but not so much on the second. Most shops in Sibu Town are walkable, including Premier Hotel, the market, Wisma Sanyan, and Maybank. There are plenty of places to eat nearby too: Datongju(Happy Family Ice and Refreshment House), known for vegetarian delicacies, Noodle House with different kinds of kampua, Cafe Cafe for western food, and momNpop kopitiams.

The rooms are basic, but clean, with comfortable beds and good air conditioning. They say free water is provided, but what you get is an empty jug. Reception doesn’t mention it, though there’s a refill station on the ground floor behind the lift. It’s a fine place for a stopover between towns, close enough to walk to the night market, waterfront, and pagoda.

Check-in was supposed to be at 2 pm, but when we arrived then, the room still wasn’t ready. They said housekeeping hadn’t come yet and couldn’t say when we could get in. We urgently needed to use the room before dinner, but were left waiting with no idea how long it would take. I’ve never had this happen at another hotel. The booking fee was already paid and couldn’t be refunded, which made it worse. If a refund had been possible, we would have gone to another hotel. The worst experience ever.

The staff were friendly, but the toilet needs cleaning first. There was poop in it. Could they provide at least one bottle of mineral water?

No windows at first seemed like a downside, but sleeping in a dark box turned out to be surprisingly relaxing. The room was clean and quiet, the staff friendly, and the location central. It’s about as good as it gets in Sibu. Not having toilet paper was a bummer, lol.
