Tanahmas Hotel is still one of my dependable picks in Sibu, for both work and leisure. The market and night market are right behind it and easy to reach on foot. I also find the rooms quieter than at other hotels, with comfortable beds, reasonable space and pleasant lighting. Hot water stays steady even during a long shower, though the water pressure is only average. The breakfast spread is limited, but there are several options: juice, pastries, salad, fruit, noodle soup, eggs, and mains like potatoes, sausages, fried rice, fried noodles and beef stir fry. Some of the mains are quite tasty. The coffee, though, isn't very good to me, and there's no coffee machine. Toothbrush and toothpaste are supplied, but no shaving kit or body lotion.

The furnishings feel a bit dated, but it's a decent place in Sibu. There are complimentary drinks in the fridge, and breakfast doesn't offer much variety. Update: I stayed again and the breakfast was bad this time. The Wi-Fi was nearly unusable too, so compared with nearby hotels, I don't think it's worth the price.

Parking is public, with no private lot. Still, the location is strategic, right in the city center, and the price is reasonable. Check-in was quick, and the room was comfortable and well equipped. It's a four-star hotel with free breakfast, lots of choices and delicious food.

I attended a wedding reception here. The venue was just so-so, and the sound system and visual screen could both be better.

It's tucked a little away from the main road junction, so traffic noise isn't too bad. The hotel is close to Sibu Gateway, the Rejang River, the night market and lots of places to eat, with the market less than 300m away. The buffet breakfast is good, the staff are well trained, and it's clean. I'd say it's the best hotel in Sibu.
