Hotel O Captain Hotel Cafe & Bistro

It was hard to get any rest with all the noise coming from downstairs. The cafe staff used vulgar language, making the stay uncomfortable, and the people blocking the room entrance made me feel unsafe. I couldn't sleep peacefully, so I wouldn’t really recommend it.

The room issues made for a very disappointing stay. There was no shower gel or drinking water, though both appeared in the Trip.com and Agoda photos. The bathroom window was broken and covered only with plastic, and the TV didn’t work. When I asked to move rooms, I was told the hotel was fully booked, even though it didn’t look like many guests were staying. The receptionist said all the TVs in the rooms were broken and some toilets leaked. I asked why they were still selling rooms in that condition, and got the answer, “I’m a new staff member, so I don’t know.” That was unacceptable, especially since the receptionist’s conversation with an acquaintance visiting suggested they’d been working there for a while. The photos online don’t match reality, and the poor room quality and lack of professionalism left me very disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else.

The hallway was much too dark, and the room wasn’t clean for a holiday stay, with lots of hair on the floor. The bathroom floor was very slippery, and the hotel needs to improve these things. It’s expensive, too. The Malay staff, the cute girls, were kind and gentle with guests. This was the scariest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. They need to make improvements for the future.

The pub downstairs made it extremely noisy, even though the room itself was clean and comfortable.
