BB Inn Hotel

It’s cheap and centrally located, but the condition was so bad that I don’t think it was worth it. The room was small and not comfortable, which I suppose is expected at this price, but the bed wasn’t properly cleaned. There were lots of yellow stains and trash under the blanket, and the pillows were suspiciously yellow, as if they’d been used for a long time. The room was dusty and smelly, and sleeping on that dirty bed made me itchy. If you have allergies, don’t stay here. The shutter-style windows meant the room never really closed off. Smells got in, whether someone was cooking in the middle of the night or, as we experienced, smoking. You could hear everything from the other rooms too. We couldn’t sleep because a baby was crying and a man was snoring, and we were even woken by someone praying. You’d need luck to get any sleep here.

The staff went out of their way to help, even buying extra lamps so I’d feel comfortable. The location is very central. My room was still a bit dark and cold, but for the same price range in this area, I found it better than the other hotels.

Location and price are the only things I liked. The rooms were nasty, with yellow stains on the bed, odd-smelling pillows, and mold everywhere. Being cheap doesn’t excuse dirty sheets and towels. The noise was awful too, the worst soundproofing I’ve come across in over a year of traveling through Asia. Light sleepers should bring earplugs. I can’t believe this place is rated so highly on Agoda.

The room looked unpleasant, the furniture was worn out, and the hotel seemed poorly maintained and unhygienic. There was no qibla direction. The shower heater needed to be switched on and off repeatedly to get hot water. When I asked the receptionist to check it, I had to go down to reception three times before he even came to look. The one good thing is the location in the centre of Tanah Rata. Don’t waste your time and money here, there are plenty of better hotels.
