The Landmark Penang

The management seems good and the property is fairly well kept. I could park my campervan in the limited outdoor parking, since it wouldn't fit under the indoor parking height limit. The gym is small, but decent for a workout, with Technogym equipment. The pool is long enough for laps, though the stairs at one end mean you can't really turn around and keep swimming laps. Overall, quite a good place to stay.

We booked through Agoda and got exactly what was promised. This was our favourite stay during our two days in Malaysia. The unit had a beautiful view over Georgetown and Penang Hill, and was well equipped for cooking and cleaning. The location was amazing, with a 24-hour supermarket on the ground floor, and the security gave us great peace of mind. Our flight was delayed, so we arrived very late at night. We'd told the host in advance, and everything was ready. The staff were helpful and accommodating. The host was especially kind about letting us store our luggage, even though the office was supposed to be closed that day. A fantastic stay, highly recommended.

We were left stranded at night because this Little Cabin homestay operator didn't respond during check-in, and we couldn't reach them by phone. The service was bad. This operator manages 55 units for owners, and the whole thing was chaotic and messed up. Given the choice, I wouldn't give this listing even one star.

The only upside was the great view from unit 5 on the 40th floor. The apartment is old and poorly maintained, and the bathroom was very dirty, with soap residue everywhere. Half the gym equipment doesn't work, and I couldn't tell whether they put chlorine in the pool. I regret not staying somewhere else.
