Sea Princess Hotel

I had booked through Agoda on 27/9/25 and came to check in on 25/12/25. The front desk, three Pakistanese, told us there were no rooms available. They said the room had been allocated to the owner's daughter's friends, who had left their belongings inside and not left the key. What made us angriest was that the owner asked Agoda to cancel our booking at 5.23pm, after an hour of arguing at the reception counter. They had to call the manager, but SHE didn't answer the phone to handle our problem. A very bad experience. I'll never book this kind of hotel again.

We drove 15 hours from Kuala Lumpur as two families for a holiday, only to arrive and be told there were no rooms. We'd booked and paid through Agoda three days earlier, and the hotel had confirmed the reservation and guest details. It was extremely frustrating. Staff didn't acknowledge their mistake or try to move us to another room or find any solution. This was the worst hotel experience we've ever had in Batu Ferringhi, and it completely ruined our holiday. I'd strongly advise against staying here.

After a 13-hour drive from Kuala Lumpur to Penang, I arrived with family and friends at 8:00 PM, only to be told the hotel was overbooked. I'd booked two king-bed rooms through Agoda for September 14-16, 2024, and they were fully paid and confirmed five days ahead. Still, the receptionist refused to honor the booking or provide a room. The staff were incredibly unprofessional. The receptionist gave me a number, saying it was the manager's. A woman answered, promised to deal with it, then switched off her phone and disappeared. Another staff member had no documentation or authority and sent me to his "Bengali boss," who bluntly told me to find another hotel myself. We were stranded in an unfamiliar city late at night after paying in full. The hotel took my money and offered no help, solution, or alternative. It's a complete scam. Management is a disgrace, and the way they treated us was unacceptable. They don't honor confirmed bookings, and the staff were rude, dishonest, and unable to solve anything. This was a complete nightmare. I plan to take legal action over what I see as a violation of my consumer rights. Book elsewhere, because this place will ruin your stay and holiday.

Dust on the room floor, then the power suddenly went out at night. We were told to change rooms without being given any touch. There were no toiletries, the red pillow wasn't washed, and the toilet was dirty with no cover over the drainage hole. Worst hotel stay ever. I don't recommend it.
