The rooms were a little old, and one window wouldn't close properly, so the place could use some maintenance. I forgot to take a photo, but the room was acceptable. We paid around RM100-plus, which felt reasonable. It's a quiet hotel in a quiet town, with a very friendly receptionist. The location is a bit outside the city and up in the hills, but the view is great.

Everything else was okay, but there was no hot water for a shower at night or in the morning. The bathtub was very old and hadn't been maintained.

We expected the worst after seeing the hotel's low ratings and ended up finding it a little better than expected. The location high on the hill is spectacular, with sweeping valley views from the bedroom window and nice breezes. The hotel has clearly seen better days and needs more care, but it was adequate for a night or two.

This hotel is very different from the one in Kundasang. The power was out for a long time, which was so disappointing. I think the building needs renovation.

The hilltop location gives the hotel a fresh, peaceful feel, and on arrival I found it wasn't as bad as I feared after reading the earlier complaints. Still, the room could have been cleaner. There were stains on the wall, the mirror was dirty, and the floor looked dirty too. The room also smelled old, so perhaps they could use some room freshener. It's liveable, but I hope they improve the maintenance and housekeeping.
