The garden is lovely, and the cottages are laid out nicely, but the place is poorly maintained. The lobby looks like a storage room, and the breakfast area has seen better days. Breakfast was fine, though the dishes didn’t look properly washed in a long time. The owner seemed more interested in selling all kinds of activities than looking after guests. Apparently, boat tours during thunderstorms are fine with them. One good thing: the lobby fridge is always stocked with beer at supermarket prices.

The room was cramped for two, with very little space to move around. The water heater and air con were okay, but it wasn’t good value for money. It’s a distance from the seafront, and the restaurant is run down. Breakfast was lousy and very simple.

The logistics staff were responsive, but the stay was terrible and didn’t feel worth the money. The sheets were still wet at check-in, and gaps around the doors let mosquitoes in. There was only one power plug for two people, and smoke from somewhere choked us at night. We could hear the neighbours as if they were in our room, and staff didn’t respond to hazards where we were staying. Water dripping from the air conditioner was so loud it disturbed our sleep.

A new experience, but the bathroom was dirty and covered in ants. The bungalow was nice, though it was clear a major renovation had been needed for years.

The bungalows are basic but clean, with AC and a working hot shower. There’s a spacious shared area and a nice breakfast every day. The owner was friendly and helpful. The beach is quiet and pleasant, with a really good dive shop behind it. One of the best-run bungalow places I’ve stayed at in Malaysia.
