Our lovely unit had a sea view and was close to restaurants, markets, a Super Spar, and the pool. The bedding and towels were changed regularly. From the friendly security at the gate to the host and hostess who kindly offered to carry our bags, we felt welcome and well looked after. Thanks to the lady in Jhb for promptly answering all my questions, and for going the extra mile. I recommend Bayview. It’s an experience we’ll treasure, with so many lasting memories.

The chalets sit right on the beach, unlike most other lodges, which are behind a dune, and you don’t need a 4x4. The friendly staff service them daily, and laundry is done cheaply. There’s a fresh produce market 2km away, while a short drive gets you to a SPAR centre with a butcher and pharmacy, and everything you need. Booking was quick and easy, and we had no trouble with the drive through Giryondo. We had the best time at Bay View Lodge and can’t wait to return.

The Family Cottage was very clean and comfortable, and a good place to relax by the pool. We did self-catering, and town is close enough to stock up on groceries. There’s Wi-Fi at Reception, and the owners are so kind. Some of our group went shark diving. A nearby restaurant served a delicious dinner, and they take cash and credit cards. It made a nice stop after the drive, before leaving for Giyirondo. Thanks, guys, we had a great time.

This was our second visit, and we love the place. Fresh fish and crayfish are available, along with freshly baked Portuguese rolls. It’s also great to have the unit regularly serviced by friendly staff. The group house works perfectly for a family or group holiday, and Shawn and Wanette go out of their way to make the stay memorable. We’ll be back 😎

I still remember the cozy wooden chalet and the barbecue area out front. It’s a really good self-catering place, with a great kitchen.
