Vertigo Lodge de Estuario

The quiet here, especially around sunset, was something else. We were surprised by how much bigger it was than we'd expected. Can highly recommend.

Breakfast became one of the things we looked forward to each morning. Amando, the chef, was friendly and made delicious breakfasts, with eggs prepared however you liked. The hosts, Jumbo and Colleen, were extremely helpful, accommodating, and full of local knowledge. They arranged many of our activities and gave us great restaurant suggestions, while clearly keeping an eye on every detail of the lodge. The bar and pool area are lovely, with fantastic views. Our room was really comfortable, with lots of luxury touches: air con, a beautiful large bath, an outdoor shower, a massive comfy bed, a GHD hair dryer and straightener, and an espresso machine. The accommodation exceeded our expectations in every way.

We had champagne on the deck looking over the pristine rim pool, the estuary, and a magnificent sunset. The whole resort was tranquil, with magnificent views and very comfortable accommodation. It felt absolutely luxurious, with every need catered for, including a freestanding bath, an outdoor shower, and every amenity. Definitely a destination in Mozambique.

We loved the peaceful setting, close to Barra/Tofo but away from the noise. The rooms, breakfast, relaxing pool, and sunset views were all lovely. It's a beautiful tented lodge run by a lovely couple, and faultless throughout. We'd recommend it to anyone and will stay again.
