We’re staying in rooms 301 and 303, and I hope management looks into what happened and takes steps to improve staff professionalism and customer service. Our friend is a Southern Sun Gold member who stays here several times a year, but regardless of membership, guests shouldn’t be treated this way. This service was unacceptable and didn’t meet the standards expected of a hotel that welcomes regular guests. Last night, everything was fine. We were allowed to drink our friend’s own whisky while also buying drinks from the bar. We paid for a bottle of wine and several beers, and staff didn’t object to him having his whisky. Today, we asked if the bar had a particular whisky and were simply told it didn’t. The issue was how the bar staff member behaved: he was arrogant, rude, and unprofessional. He spoke to my sister without basic courtesy, didn’t look up from his phone, and was dismissive and condescending. He addressed her as if they were friends outside the hotel, which was completely inappropriate in a customer service setting. When we asked for the customer service email or the manager’s contact details, he refused to give them.
