Indico Executivo Hotel

It was clean and tidy, despite the odd smell in the rooms and the very slow service. Decent enough for a few nights, and I'm guessing it may be the only option in Nacala.

The restaurant menu lists plenty of salads, starters, sandwiches, mains, steak and fish, but only five dishes were actually available. That stayed the same all weekend, which was really disappointing. They shouldn't run a menu like that if they can't provide the choices. Breakfast is buffet style, but everything was cold the first morning. We only found out the next day that you can ask for warm eggs, and there was no milk. The staff were friendly, and some clearly tried to help, but they seemed short on training and, more importantly, the tools to do the job well. The capsule coffee machine leaked badly, so more coffee ended up on the counter than in my cup. The rooms were far too hot. The A/C barely cooled mine, and it only reached a comfortable temperature by morning after running all night on the coldest setting. It warmed up again quickly during the day. I changed rooms because of the heat, but the next room had the same problem. Its floor was dirty with what I think was paint, and the sheets only covered half the bed because they didn't fit. The place needs serious maintenance. Overall, I was very disappointed.

I want to see the hotel's service improve. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are lovely, but my shower had no hot water and the internet was poor. Food for guests in transit was always late. I called the front desk three times for a bottle of water because I was so thirsty, and it finally arrived after almost an hour. With such a beautiful hotel, better service would make a real difference.

Loved it. Best place in town. 💚
