The restaurant opened again today, so we stopped in for lunch. Really brilliant, with great food and staff. Highly recommended.

We came by our own boat for lunch since there wasn’t really another way to get there. Almost everything on the menu was unavailable, even bread, and there was no card machine, so bring cash. It isn’t cheap, either. I’m not sure how a place this size can run like that, or how long it’ll stay open. The so-called protected reef was covered in gill nets. We pulled out a few, but the fish are pretty much gone.

We spent a couple of nights here and I’d gladly return. The room was spacious, tidy, and very clean, with a tea and coffee setup and a minibar fridge. There was also a lounge and a lovely wooden deck looking out over the lake. The garden was beautiful, and the sunsets were gorgeous.
