Divava Okavango Resort & Spa

I loved relaxing by the pool, and my wife had a great massage. Our river cruise was fun and gave us some insight into the area. We spent two lovely nights at Divava. The room was enormous, with a terrace facing the river, and the restaurant had the same river view. The food was decent, and breakfast was served as a buffet.

The river cruise and game drives are both a must. We stayed in a lovely chalet with a bathtub and an outdoor shower, and could see the river and spot hippos. They even surprised us for our honeymoon. The lodge itself is beautiful.

I paid the deposit invoice they emailed me after I booked one night for my guests. Then they sent more invoices, which I paid in a rush without checking carefully. That was my mistake. When another invoice arrived, I finally looked over the amounts and realized they were charging twice what we had originally agreed. By then, I'd already paid more than I owed. Management promised to refund the extra money after I contacted them, but I still haven't received it. I followed up and was told they'd get back to me, then wrote again a week ago and got no reply. Do not book here. This is a scam.

The setting is beautiful, and we enjoyed taking our meals slowly, with grace. The cuisine was fine, and the whole lodge has excellent taste. The rooms were very clean, with excellent quality linen. The spa setup, views, and treatments were in a class of their own. It felt like true luxury alongside nature. We'll definitely visit again.
