The meals were part of the stay, and the chefs made each one feel special with thoughtful details and creative, delicious food. Shoutout to Wesley! We also felt cared for by Teresia, Victor, Hilton, and the rest of the team throughout. Elizabeth’s warm welcome and humor had us laughing, while our guide Michael brought plenty of knowledge, jokes, and thoughtfulness. The setting is breathtaking, but it was the people who made us feel at home. Zannier Sonop is one of the most extraordinary hotels we’ve stayed at, and we’re already planning to come back, even though returning to the same place twice is unusual for us.

The staff and service were exceptional. Martin, Elizabeth, Timothy, and the others remembered that we liked a particular sauce and brought more every day without us asking. The food was excellent, and getting hot water bottles on the bed at night was one of those thoughtful touches that made the stay stand out. In the middle of nowhere, it was incredibly peaceful, with excellent activities on offer. We’d never stayed anywhere like it, and sometimes it felt as if we were on Mars. A once in a lifetime experience, and I’d highly recommend it.

I haven’t stayed there, so I’m rating only the experience before arrival. The pricing policy is crazy. I booked a tent for four people with an occupancy of three, but instead of charging the extra half-board cost, they require me to rebook, adding USD 2k for two nights. Breakfast is an extra USD 280 per person. They also tried to hide behind the booking platform instead of admitting it was their commercial decision to push already booked rooms into a rebooking at higher rates. Other comments mention similar frustration with the pre-booking experience, including robotic replies, and poor value for money, like EUR 90 for two Gin Tonics.

Michael and Mac treated us like family, and the hotel was stunning. We fell in love with the place. Such an amazing experience, 100% recommended. We can’t wait to go back. Francesco and Victoria
