Ijaba Lodge

If peace and quiet are what you're after, this is the place. My family and I had a great stay: the rooms were clean, the service was excellent, and I was impressed by how kind the staff were.

After camping in Etosha, the quiet, clean rooms here were a welcome break from all the dust. It's a lovely small hotel with a relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff and reasonable prices, and a great alternative to staying in town. I left my pillow behind, and when they couldn't reach me by phone, a staff member drove to Outjo to find me. She remembered me asking about the bakery the day before and guessed I'd be there. Amazing service.

We felt right at home here, and everyone was super friendly. The campsites are great, with clean ablutions and a layout that makes you want to stay longer. The whole lodge has a welcoming atmosphere, and the place is beautiful and well designed. We were on a schedule, otherwise we definitely would have stayed longer. A lovely stop we'd happily return to.

The Christmas Eve dinner they arranged outside was magical, and the chef had thought through every detail. The food was outstanding throughout our stay at Ijaba Lodge over Christmas with my family. Our rooms were stylish and comfortable, and the staff went out of their way to make everything feel perfect. Housekeeping was top-notch, and the waitstaff were among the friendliest we've met. Even the lodge manager came out to see us off, which was a thoughtful touch. The resident dog was a delightful companion too. It was an unforgettable stay, and I can't wait to return. I highly recommend Ijaba Lodge for an extraordinary getaway.
