Ana at reception was really nice, and the rooms are spacious and feel secure. But there were several problems. The wifi barely worked during most of my stay, on both my own devices and the room TV. The room wasn’t clean: someone had left sandals behind, there was a rotten food box and human hair on the porch, and the kettle had gross water in it. This is self-service accommodation, so guests make their own food. My room didn’t have a pot. Reception said they’d bring one right away, but after waiting hours I went out to eat, and the pot never arrived. They also photocopy passports and don’t shred them after you leave, even when asked. Make of that what you will. They’re setting up an OceanLife restaurant soon, which sounds exciting. I hope it does well and has vegan options 🤩

The room was noisy and worn, with several advertised amenities missing. It also didn’t match the description on Lekkeslaap. The staff member who helped us did her best in the circumstances, but we won’t book here again.

We were a couple travelling with backpacks and stayed five nights. The place was quiet, clean and safe, with spacious rooms that seemed well thought out. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Supermarkets and the waterfront are an easy walk away. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Luderitz. Thanks to the management and staff for everything.

The kitchen counter was filthy, with grime stuck between the tiles, and there were ants and cockroaches on it. The bathroom needs to be cleaned between guests too, since you can smell the toilet from the street. What the room actually had didn’t match what was promised in the booking, including the cooktop and pots.
