My family and I came back recently after a few months away. The food gets 8/10 from me. The burgers are surprisingly the best in town now. We shared some as takeaways with colleagues at the state hospital, and the food has improved a lot. The waiters still need to sharpen up, but we’ll definitely come back to try more from the menu. Well done.

What a peaceful place to watch the sunset. From the gentle hill, you can see the wide river winding through the landscape, with the water reflecting the bright colors overhead. Grasses and leafy trees frame the view, while a light breeze stirs the leaves and birds call in the distance. The air smells fresh, all earth, water, and greenery. As the sun slips down, the sky turns orange, pink, and purple, and its reflection lays a bright path across the river. It feels like it leads right to the horizon. A blanket and picnic with people you love would make the moment even nicer. A lovely spot to relax, think, and take in nature. Sounds wonderful, right? 😊

The food was average to good, but the service was pathetic and slow. We waited over an hour for pizza, even though the place wasn’t crowded. People who arrived after us were already leaving before our order came.

The food was well prepared, and the portion was generous. I had crumbed pork chops with a jacket potato. There’s a good range on the menu, from starters to mains and dessert, with chicken, beef, and both sea and fresh fish to choose from. Maybe I’ll try the pizza next time. Customer service was good, though the wait for food was the main difficulty. The outside seating would be lovely for dinner at sunset, and the atmosphere is nice. They could improve the setup and decor to make the place more appealing. I’d definitely recommend a visit.

The river view makes this a beautiful place for a sundowner. The beds are comfortable, but the rooms could use a modern update, especially the bathrooms, where the shower tiles are old. Restaurant service was average, and I’d rate most of the food 5/10. Get the Zambezi Bream, though, it’s a 10/10 and you won’t regret it.
