Desert Quiver Camp

The stars were unbelievable, and the sunrise was something else too. I had no idea the sky could look like that. The rooms were great and the pool was lovely. Meals are at the nearby Sossusvlei Lodge, where we really enjoyed the dinner and breakfast buffets.

Metebe was such a warm, welcoming host, always smiling, and gave me really helpful tips for visiting the national park. The camp is ideally placed for the park and the big dunes. Our room tent was spacious and very clean, and having a barbecue in front of it was great. The lodge provided the food, which was really nice.

We had a comfortable room, a lovely shower, and a well-maintained pool. The staff were warm and attentive, and the prepacked food we ordered for the braai was delicious. There was no hand wash, so you may want to bring your own. For an earlier sunrise entry to the national park, consider staying at a camp inside the first gate, since they can enter an hour before guests staying outside. I'd definitely recommend desert quiver and would love to return. One of the best places I've stayed.

After a long day out in the desert, the guys behind the bar serve big, icy cold pints of golden beer, perfectly poured and in chilled glasses, for you and your loved ones. Best place to stay, best people to meet, and some of the greatest nature on our little blue planet.
