I won't stay here again. The room was dirty and full of bugs, including the fridge, and the curtains were gross. When I asked for cleaning, they only did the bathroom and made the bed, so I had to fetch a broom and sweep myself. They don't clean rooms unless you request it, and nobody mentioned that at check-in. There were no two point plugs, coffee station, room wifi, TV, shampoo, handwash, or body wash. The service was pathetic for R300 a night, and the price feels far too high for what you get. This used to be a top place before new management took over. I've stayed at cheaper places that were neater and had better amenities.

The carpet weaving factory on site is the standout for me. It's a great social impact project making luxury carpets from special local wool. Reghardt and his daughter Emma took over recently and have upgraded everything. The bedsheets are crisp, the atmosphere is great, and there's a lovely pool. A gem of a stop between Windhoek and Kalahari, with plenty more to it. I'll definitely come back.

Lovely people and a beautiful setting in stampriet. Worth stopping to see how blankets and carpets are made.

The breakfast deserves a mention, everything was fresh and homemade, from the bread to the date jam. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful ππΎπ ππ

Petro and Irene, the mother and daughter hosting here, made us feel like part of the family. We really enjoyed the stay, and the place is a gem. Highly recommend it as a stopover or a place to stay in Namibia.
