Organic Stay Guesthouse

The rooms were clean, comfortable and nicely decorated, and the staff were friendly. Wi-Fi was somewhere between okay and good. We arrived to find there was no hot water in the shower, though it may have been a one-off. They fixed it within a few hours. We also had a question about the laundry service charges, so check those beforehand.

Our room was clean and pleasant, and breakfast was good. Parking is available at the property, and The Tug and another great restaurant are about a 10-minute walk away. A very nice place to stay in Swakopmund.

We stayed three nights and found the place lovely and clean. The service was very good, and breakfast was wonderful. We’d happily recommend it. 👍

The town center and shops are just a five-minute walk away, with groceries, restaurants, souvenirs and adventure bookings nearby. The area feels quite safe, and guards from neighboring guesthouses are around. The guesthouse follows an ecological, sustainable approach, with small adjustments for guests. Some visitors found the breakfast too organic. The Organic Square Guesthouse was refurbished from a classic 50s family house common to this area. They took care to preserve its basic structure, so it fits the neighborhood and keeps some of the atmosphere that makes Swakopmund interesting. The walls have unfortunately been raised for guest security, though that’s common in Southern Africa.
