Private and cozy, with a lively feel and lovely ocean scenery.

We especially appreciated the friendly staff arranging activities and preparing an early takeaway breakfast for our departure. Villa Maji sits right by the beach, on the edge of Swakopmund, about a 10-minute drive from the center. Our two-night stay was great: the rooms and large shared area were nice, and the heaters made the cold Namibian nights much more comfortable. And Snoopy is such a sweet dog!

The rooms are lovely, each with its own little details, and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good too. We had a beautiful ocean view, and found the owner welcoming and the staff friendly and helpful.

The receptionist was very nice, and the view was lovely. Still, perhaps our expectations were too high. The mattress was poor, and the cute dog barked at odd hours. The hostess also made us feel nearly obliged to spend time with her.

The staff were friendly throughout, and the rooms have lovely African flair, each with its own theme. The personalized breakfast was sumptuous and the best, thanks Michelle. Ask Christina about her stays on the African continent.
