The rooms, meals, views, and horseback riding were all wonderful. You can tell how much care and love go into every detail at Wolwedans. Ray was an incredible guide, knowledgeable and kind, and the chef was pure gold. The waitresses were absolute angels, and Jack, the operations manager, was warm and attentive. Every person helped make our stay unforgettable. We’ll definitely return. This place touched our hearts. ❤️

We stayed at Dunes Lodge, one of several areas in a complex spread over a 220,000 hectare site, about 30 minutes off the main road. Other areas include Dunes Camp, Plains Camp, and Boulders Lodge. Dunes Lodge sits high on a ridge, facing a 1,700m mountain range, and has seven or eight lodges next to a main building with all meals and a bar open most of the day. Most drinks are included. Accommodation is all inclusive, and the lodge is spacious, with a separate bathroom and both indoor and outdoor showers. Watching the sun rise over the mountains from bed was stunning. A few things could be better. Deep sand on the walk to the lodge got everywhere inside. There’s no WiFi in the rooms, only in the main area, and no room fridge, AC, or fans, so our bottles of water were warm. The outdoor shower was luxurious, but there was very little privacy between lodges. In general it’s an excellent place to stay. We understand some of the other camps have better facilities, such as a swimming pool. Worth a visit.

We stayed in the Desert Lodge and it was worth every penny. The staff were thoughtful and friendly, and went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. Everything was amazing, from the fun activities and exceptional food to the local village tour, where we learned how sustainable the business is. Highly recommend this accommodation.

Ten years ago, we stayed at Wolwedans during our ten-day honeymoon touring Namibia, and it was a superb place to visit. We were welcomed so warmly, and although we went in a cooler season, the lodge was just what we’d imagined. With the sides rolled up, we could lie in bed, enjoy the panoramic view, and have an early morning coffee. The G&T Sundowners, the flight over the stunning dunes, and the haunting local songs the staff sang before dinner all made the stay feel perfect. If we get the chance to visit again, we certainly will.

We were on our way to Sesriem in the late afternoon when our Toyota double cab got a flat tyre in the middle of nowhere, at Zarishoogte Pass. A few minutes later, a car marked "Wolwedans" stopped beside us. Saki and Benny got out and changed our huge tyre, and we reached Sesriem just before sunset. I’m not sure I’ve spelled their names correctly, but we’d like to commend them. They were incredibly kind, and their generosity touched us. If they’re this nice to complete strangers, imagine what they’re like with guests. We highly recommend them!
