Chameleon Backpackers & Guesthouse

Simon stayed with our group throughout the whole 10-day tour and felt like one of us, a really good travel companion. Everything was organized well and the trip was amazing. On the last day, the bus had a mechanical problem, but within a couple of hours other drivers arrived and got us back to Windhoek. The room was okay, though the pool could have been cleaner. Nice work, Chamaleon!

We stayed here on both sides of our safari with chameleon tours. There weren't many younger guests around, mostly families and older travelers, though maybe that was because we visited in the off season. The free breakfast had plenty of choices, and there's a restaurant too. Our rooms were roomy, with very comfortable beds, and came with a safe, instant coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. The courtyard and kitchen were lovely and clean. We could leave our luggage here for free while we went exploring before the tour. Ammaarah took us on a walking tour and was so sweet, and Hennie and Memory at reception were lovely as well.

We had everything we needed during both stays, and the staff were friendly. There was plenty of food and drink, and breakfast was good. We stayed here twice, once at each end of our trip.

The location made it easy to get to central spots and restaurants. Our family room had plenty of space and bunk beds, and there's a kitchen, fridge, and shared area with games where you can hang out. The rooms are nice. The pool seemed on the small side, and I didn't see anyone swimming.
