The place has a lovely open-air feel, with animals wandering around, and the service was great. We paid 3800 XPF for the set menu: fish with rice and vegetables, papaya salad, and ice cream. We came back another day for the Tahitian salad as a main, white tuna in coconut sauce for 1000 XPF, and Toulouse sausages cooked over a large open fire for 2800 XPF. It’s expensive, though that’s true of the whole island.

Guillaume made us feel very welcome and shared a little about local culture and life in the tribe. Our bungalow was comfortable, with air conditioning and a private bathroom, and we stayed four nights. The guesthouse is about 10 minutes from the nearest beaches, which suited a relaxing break. We finally got to try the much-talked-about lobsters, and they lived up to the anticipation. The meal was excellent and made with local products. We highly recommend the place! 👍

We went for dinner one evening and really liked the cooking, especially the care given to traditional dishes made with bird's nest ferns. The host was so kind, too. Definitely worth stopping in, it’s a real gem.
