Le Gite du Koniambo

The bungalow was comfortable, with plenty of room, and the meals were a highlight. Olivier took such good care with breakfast and dinner, and both were excellent and very generous. He was also wonderful with our daughter, taking time to let her feed the animals with him. A fantastic family stay, and thanks again for everything!!!

The location is lovely and peaceful, even with the road nearby. Kids have games to play and animals to see, and the little farm with pigs, chickens, rabbits and others adds a lot of charm. We spent two nights in a spacious, well-designed, well-kept bungalow. It has separate areas for parents and children, plus an outdoor kitchenette on the large terrace with all the kitchen equipment you need. Olivier has been running the place alone since the events of 2024, and his determination to make it work really shows. He gives good service and cooks a decent daily set menu, with no menu to choose from, since he's in the kitchen too. The price is reasonable. We wish this engaging owner all the best as he works through the difficulties he's faced. He deserves it.

The setting is green and quiet, with the Koniambo massif behind it, and the bungalows are new, clean and comfortable. They have everything for an independent stay, including cozy beds, a sparkling bathroom, a well-equipped kitchen and a private barbecue on the veranda. There's also an enclosure nearby where children can look at farm animals like deer and pigs. Though Voh and Koniambo aren't major tourist spots in New Caledonia, Gîte du Koniambo belongs in the brochures. Olivier is friendly and attentive, and at mealtimes he turns into a culinary whiz, serving sumptuous breakfast or dinner on the pleasant covered communal terrace. The price is modest, and he'll happily accommodate dietary preferences or offer tips on walks and places to explore. The Voh region has suffered since KNS left, which is a real shame, as it has plenty to offer. This guesthouse is one of its attractions. I highly recommend it.

Our bungalow was lovely, though unfortunately it was close to the road. Olivier was very friendly and welcoming, and shared his daily routine with the animals with us 😊 The food was excellent, especially the sweet potato gratin.
