Hotel Nengone Village

We ended up staying elsewhere. Before deciding, we visited and found the staff we dealt with unwelcoming; the email replies had also come across as impolite. At 10am we asked for drinks and WiFi so we could let our family know we'd arrived safely. We were told drinks alone weren't enough and that we'd need to buy lunch, even though lunch didn't start until 11:30 and the place was empty. With service like that, I can see why. I'd rather stay somewhere without a pool if the people there are welcoming.

We were a couple who didn't speak French, and the location right on the beach was a dream. The food prices were high, which wasn't surprising, but service meant long waits and felt inflexible, careless, and unwelcoming. Tourism may simply not be very developed there. All together, I'd give it 3 stars, and would be more inclined to recommend staying with locals.

The setting is pretty, but the staff let the place down. I stopped in for a drink and wasn't made to feel welcome. When I asked about using the WiFi, I was told rather rudely that I had to buy lunch.

The restaurant was excellent, service was quick, and the staff were welcoming. The bed was very comfortable too. The hotel is in a good location, though the rooms feel dated and could be cleaner. They were still acceptable.
