The location is 10/10, and I’d come back. We booked a premium room and it was great, although perhaps it had been painted a little too recently. The place otherwise feels run down and could use a serious investment, which they may already be working on. The pool hammocks were broken, and at one point my partner ended up on the floor on her backside. Thanks to her for the great entertainment. The buffet costs a lot, though the quality is reasonable. I booked a taxi an hour ahead, then had to wait another hour because they hadn’t called it in. After some hassle, they found a solution. If those things don’t bother you much, you probably won’t be disappointed. That was how I felt.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel was kept really clean and tidy. The pool was clean each morning, and cafes and restaurants were an easy walk away. The location was spot on. I loved everything about this place ❤️ and would recommend it.

Novato has a nice position overlooking the beach, though getting into town means taking a bus. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the pool was nice with warm water. Still, I don’t think I’d stay again. There’s very little provided: no hand soap, facecloths, room service, menus, or local information, no gym or spa, and no written instructions for how things work. The only restaurant serves a buffet for every meal, and it was fairly ordinary. The old part of the hotel is shabby and drab, and my room smelled musty and stale, probably from the air conditioning. The shower was cold and the safe didn’t work, so I moved to the newer section. Those rooms are much smaller and basic, but more modern and cheerful. The hotel is clean, but the offerings are very limited.

We chose this hotel because the pool area looked so appealing, only to learn on arrival that it would be under maintenance for all seven nights of our stay. Nobody had told us beforehand. We got no official apology or discount either, even though we asked for free breakfast, which wouldn’t have meant a refund of any money. The soundproofing is poor, too. The carpets are very thin, so every footstep from upstairs comes through.
