The cafe is small but works well as a place to get things done, meet someone casually, or go on a date. The food is tasty, though it can take a long time to arrive. Their only pastry is a shortbread roll, but it doesn’t taste or feel like shortbread. I’d stick to the food, especially the coffee, fresh juices, chicken sandwich, jollof rice, chicken and chips, and chicken parts. The burgers are tiny for what they cost.

The food and drink were good, but finding somewhere comfortable to sit was a hassle in the small cafe. I had to keep moving when a spot opened up. The menu could be broader. They focus on breakfast but don’t have pancakes or waffles, which surprised me. Still, I’d recommend it for a quiet drink or some time to yourself.

It’s a lovely, peaceful setting and feels like a home away from home. The kitchenette is fitted with plates, spoons, cups, knives, a chopping board, microwave, coffeemaker, fridge, and electric gas. I think there were pots too. The restaurant has been under renovation for a while, but the manager can help order food from restaurants, or you can cook for yourself. I’ll give it five stars if I visit again once the restaurant is back.

I’ve only been to the cafe, bricks cafe. The frozen latte was very good and came with three complimentary biscuits, and I liked how it was presented. I also tried the baobab kick. The cigar room has lovely decor and ambience, and there’s a nice outdoor area too. The food is decent, but the portions are too small. I’d have given it five stars if they served alcohol, especially whiskey in the cigar room. It’s a cozy boutique hotel with a cute cafe.
