The compound feels crowded with all kinds of businesses, making it stressful and nowhere to relax. On two afternoons in a row, I couldn’t get a cold Coke because the new supply had just arrived. The water pressure in the rooms needs work, and the old bedsheets should be replaced. The hotel is well located, the staff are okay, and the prices are reasonable.

I don’t stay here, but I’ve come a few times to meet friends for evening meals at the restaurant. The food is made fresh when you order, and it’s what keeps bringing me back. They’ve got an awesome chef, and the manager is always friendly and nice. Good music too. 👍

At this budget hotel in Garki 2, Abuja, the main draw for me is affordable lodging, depending on how well you negotiate. It could be a good option if you just want somewhere clean and cheap to sleep. You can get your food elsewhere and use the chance to see the city, or outsource other extras. If you expect a hotel to provide all the usual services, you may want to reconsider and raise your budget.

There’s no electricity, and the fridge in room 106 doesn’t work. Mosquitoes are around, and the receptionist they’ve hired seems to lack customer service skills. The manager seems pleasant when you first approach him, but the hotel is now in shambles and a write-off. I’m sweating badly as I write this, after paying to be left in the heat. Please, avoid this place for now. You’ve been warned, thank you.
