Grand Valley Hotel

The environment is neat and the place itself is nice, but I've repeatedly been overcharged by the staff around the bar and snooker area whenever I've bought food or drinks. I've fallen victim to this countless times.

The rooms are neat, and Grand Valley Hotel looks beautiful inside and out. This was my first stay, though the TV channel selection and quality were very poor. Management should recognize that customers want TV entertainment and news, and the rooms could use more touches to make them feel lively. Staff also need to listen when customers raise complaints.

The food choices range from snacks to local and continental dishes, so there's plenty to choose from. I liked the friendly staff and the secure, peaceful surroundings. There's a lively bar and a refreshing pool too, making it a nice place to relax with a cocktail or have a meal.

The view is good, with plenty of outdoor space to sit and enjoy some fresh air, and there is ample parking. I enjoyed the night I spent here, but the next morning the taps weren't working properly. Management couldn't fix them until after 11 am, so I went to my friend's hotel to shower. That really didn't sit well with me. Without somewhere else to go, I could have ended up going to a meeting smelling of the night before. A hotel of this standard shouldn't have that problem. Management needs to stay on top of the facilities. If this happened twice, I wouldn't return.
