Stay at Gwarimpa

The double room was a decent size, looked nice, and the staff were polite. Those were about the only positives for me. There was no Wi-Fi, despite it being advertised as included, so I had to spend extra on data to hotspot my laptop. I also found soap scum in the shower, and the toilet paper looked like it had been left by the previous guest. The bin had no liner, there was no kettle or in-room safe, and I had to call the kitchen whenever I wanted hot water for tea or coffee. The toilet window was left open, and there were no mosquito nets on the windows in an area with lots of mosquitoes. I ended up buying insecticide because I couldn’t tell whether any had already got into the room. I felt like I was complaining about everything, but these are things I’d expect a hotel room to have in 2023. The staff were friendly and polite, which I appreciated, but the missing basics made for a frustrating stay.
