The location is handy, within walking distance of a major mall and basic amenities, and the price is low for a hotel in the city centre. I compared as many as seven hotels before choosing this one. It has a lounge, bar, restaurant, and massage parlour. Some rooms are quite old, though, and the noisy old AC in mine had to be switched off so I could sleep. Still, it was okay overall.

The location is nice and the AC works well, but the water heater didn't work and only one toilet tap was working. There were bed bugs and cockroaches all over the room.

Grand Mirage is an inexpensive hotel on Port Harcourt Crescent, Abuja, with a fairly old building and design. The room was quite large, and the bar and lounge were nice for a drink or two. But the water heaters didn't work, and neither did the shower, so I had to bathe with a bucket. The window AC units were noisy.

I've worked in hospitality for a while, so I know what it takes to make someone feel at home while they're away. Grand mirage has become my second home. Based on my own stays, I'd give it five stars, and I'll keep coming back whenever I'm in Nigeria.

I came back after a long time and found it wasn't as busy or full as it had been in the early 2000s. baba 2020 plays Fela masterpiece songs on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings.
