The one thing that let me down was the ironing situation. There was no laundry service, and the iron was broken and being repaired, so I had to find somewhere else to press my clothes. If that happens to you too, there's a laundry guy down the street. Otherwise, this is the best hotel I've stayed at so far in Abuja for its looks and food, especially the food. The whole place was clean and smelled nice, and the spacious rooms had big wardrobes and tasteful furnishings. The staff were courteous, and the menu looked inviting. My stay was almost perfect.

My family and I had a nice stay, and I'd recommend the place to friends. The restaurant service on the 30th was so poor, though. If it had been like that on the 28th, I wouldn't have gone back before leaving on the 31st. Breakfast was a bit boring and needs work. My daughters gave the restaurant service two stars. The location is lovely, peaceful and quiet. The rooms were tidy and comfortable, but the fridges in both rooms I occupied seemed to need servicing. The deluxe and economy doubles didn't differ much in bed size. Staff were above average. Special thumbs up to Friday, if that's his name, he deserves praise. The team working after him were the total opposite.

The towels looked faded and worn, and the complimentary toiletries didn't include toothbrushes, which should be a basic item. The internet was patchy most of the time, surprising given the hotel's excellent location. I hope they improve these things. I stayed at Wali's Suites for a few days while in Abuja last month. It felt peaceful and homely, with minimalist decor. The staff were helpful, polite, professional and welcoming throughout. My room was spacious and nicely decorated, and the restaurant food was tasty. There's no breakfast buffet, but the included breakfast has plenty of good choices. The restaurant and rooftop terrace are lovely spots. I highly recommend it for its good amenities and prices. I took a few pictures.

The food was amazing, and everywhere was impressively neat. Staff were very courteous too. Everyone who came to the party kept calling Wali's a five-star hotel. It has that Hilton sort of rating for half the price, and I'd recommend it again and again to anyone after peace and comfort. I planned a surprise birthday weekend for my husband with a picture in mind, but no idea how to make it happen. Wali's Suites had the international standards I was looking for, from the stylishly furnished rooms and luxuriously comfortable beds to the hygienic bathrooms with modern facilities. The atmosphere was gently diffused from reception through to the bedrooms. Nothing felt overwhelming, just a mix of class and luxury. 💯
