Sunview Hotel

I spent nine days there, working in my room much of the time. The staff were friendly and quick to respond, and the hospitality is still welcoming at a fairly reasonable price. I’d stayed here years ago, so I was glad to find the hotel still around. I hope breakfast gets a wider selection, and noodles probably shouldn’t be one of the options.

I’d never been to Akure before, and we stayed three nights in the extension while attending the ATOPCON AGM. We arrived Tuesday and left Friday morning. The staff were welcoming and accommodating. I also liked their uniforms, which looked so much like ordinary dresses you might not realize they were uniforms. I was really impressed.

I stayed two nights with my sister and brother in two triple rooms in the hotel extension. MR AYODEJI KAYODE, the head of Housekeeping, made sure every room complaint was sorted out and went further to help us feel comfortable. Damilola from security also stood out, washing our car and being patient with us as guests.

The main building rooms are great, but I can’t say the same for the extension, which seems to have been allowed to deteriorate. Sunview used to be a cozy, fantastic place for visitors and tourists, and it’s sad to see it now needing renovation and fumigation with nothing being done. The reception is welcoming and some staff are friendly, though management needs to bring the service to a more consistent level.
