Room 11 was nowhere near worth the price. Cockroaches were in the room, the walls were peeling, and the bedsheets weren’t clean. The air conditioner barely worked, and the fridge was out, so I couldn’t have cold water. Running water wasn’t properly available, and when it was, it was dirty and gave me a rash on my face. The toilet wouldn’t flush properly, and mosquitoes bit me all night.

My 20 days in Nigeria at Foxtonn felt like being at home, and I had a wonderful stay. I appreciated the staff and their service, and I’ll definitely come back. One small thing I noticed was that a hotel of this standard should have two towels and two rolls of tissue in the room, not one. There’s no perfect place, and my observation was noted and worked on. The food has always been great whenever I’ve been there, and I’ve never had an issue with it. Staff are cheerful and polite, and service is quick and easy. The rooms are basic and nice, but many need maintenance. They have little cockroaches, nymphs, and I’ve advised management to fumigate, but nothing has been done yet. The towels and bedsheets look old and dirty, even if they may have been washed, so they need changing. I’m editing this because it seems management cares about Kozaa more than the hotel. There’s still room to improve.

The food was delicious, and the rooms were spotless and comfortable. Service was amazing, and everything went beyond what I expected. Absolutely the best hotel in Benin, highly recommend it!

The food was nice, I have to admit, but most everything else felt basic and mediocre. We paid #35,000 for a room and couldn’t get running water. There are also too many rules to keep track of for a place that isn’t really a five-star hotel, and the management and competence could be better. It looks less beautiful in person than in the photos, so be warned. I hope this helps you figure out what to spend to get good value.
