Kawruky Hotel & Suites

The finishing looks great, but this place is overpriced for the location. I found feathers and hair in my chicken and ended up giving it to my dogs. As for the beer, I never got a cold one. It was always a little below room temperature, but never chilled.

The rooms are very small, and the service didn’t justify the price. My booking included breakfast, but none arrived. When I asked in the morning, they said they’d forgotten and would bring it the next day. So I was supposed to stay an extra night for breakfast?

The surroundings were nice and attractive. I was surprised, though, when they told me I couldn’t bring in food or drinks from outside.

Kawruky hotel has lovely rooms that feel like home, with options from the standard 30k naira room to the presidential suite at 75,000 naira. Breakfast is included, and there’s a beautiful restaurant. The hotel is neat and beautiful, and security is active, with local guards as well as armed police ready to deal with anyone unscrupulous who comes near. It’s about a 20-minute drive from the Musuem at Ring road, so it’s quite far from the city center. On my first visit it rained, and flooding on the roads made the trip harder. Even with the distance and road conditions, the stay, time, stress, and money were all worth it.
