Don’t be fooled by the polished lobby or the nice videos online. The place was dirty, and I wouldn’t book here again. We reserved two twin-bed rooms online for two nights, then arrived to learn that only one room of that type existed. We were told it was booked for our second night, so apparently they’d overbooked and let us reserve a room they didn’t have. They were polite, but offered no real help beyond saying we’d have to pay for extra rooms. They made the mistake, yet we were the ones expected to pay more for rooms we didn’t want. The room was dirty as soon as I walked in. The floors weren’t clean, the towels and bed had brown stains, the walls had large holes and damage, and wires were coming out of the ceiling. The bed was rock hard and smelled odd. The marketing made it look like a nice, clean place, but that wasn’t my experience at all.

I was here for one night with my family, and we’re checking out because I won’t stay again. The online pictures show the hotel at its best. The lobby and reception are nice, and at first glance the place looks updated, but the rooms fell below standard. They seemed arranged without being properly cleaned, and the bed was extremely hard. Looking more closely, I could also see the finishes haven’t been maintained well.

No crowds, no noise, just a calm and comfortable place. Lunar Signature Hotel Enugu really did feel like The Home of the Elite, with personal touches throughout the stay and a quiet setting that would suit a weekend break, a self-care retreat, or a work trip. The architecture is striking, among the most beautiful hotel designs I’ve seen in Nigeria, and could inspire anyone interested in design or building a home. It also offers a luxurious feel without an outrageous price.

The seafood Okro was a must-try for me, and it wasn’t too peppery. The seafood platter, or Pandora platter, is another option. Food is made to order, so order well before you arrive if you don’t want a long wait. The meal was fresh, flavorful, and creatively prepared, with attentive staff who knew their work. The atmosphere felt warm and inviting. The cocktails and mocktails could use a better touch from the mixologist, but I had a good dining experience.

Lunar signature is close to everything, yet quiet enough to get a peaceful night’s rest. The hotel feels luxurious but still warm, and the rooms were spotless, stylish, and comfortable. Staff welcomed me and stayed attentive throughout. It’s clear there’s care behind the way the place is run. I had a fantastic stay and would recommend it to anyone after a high-quality hotel.
