Nue Crest Hotel & Suites

It’s a secure place with a good structure, spacious rooms, and nice food. But some of the staff, especially room service and waiters, provide very poor service. There’s a lot of renovation and repair work to do. The hotel’s former standard is slipping, and they need to improve and maintain it.

The rooms are neat and well kept, and there’s electricity 24 hours a day. Management responds to requests quickly, which is unrivaled in my experience. The best three-star hotel I’ve stayed in lately, and I felt I got my money’s worth.

The entrance has a drainage problem that’s breeding mosquitoes, and there are mosquitoes in the rooms too. They refused to change our towels when we asked, saying there weren’t enough for visitors. They also switch off the generator before 10am. I raised all of this with the young man at reception, and he said that’s how they manage things now. Management needs to address it. It’s the closest hotel to lower housing and convenient for some of us whose parents live in Federal housing. When I first posted this, the place was as described, a quiet, cozy weekend spot along Nike Lake road near Federal housing Trans-Ekulu. But my visit a few weeks ago was nothing to write home about.

We hardly had any electricity at the hotel, can you imagine that? We had to leave because the management was so poor. It’s a nice place, but the service isn’t good. This report was made in January 2023.
