You won't have trouble finding it, since it's in a strategic location. The rooms are very spacious, though the interiors could use improvement. It's a basic hotel with no frills, and I think a renovation would make it fantastic.

The staff are very accommodating, and the pool area is still up to a good standard. The rooms, though, all need a complete rebrand and renovation. This used to be one of the area's best hotels, but right now it's a last choice for a stay around here.

For the price, my one-night stay wasn't bad, though they could do better. The room's freezer didn't work. And despite the "Smoking is not allowed" notices all over the compound, the room we were meant to use smelled strongly of cigarettes before it was cleaned.

The rates are really good. I was also comfortable, with solar electricity available 24/7 for essentials like the suite fans and TV, and especially for charging my phone and laptop.

Guests can get food and drinks at the on-site restaurant and bar, and there's an open-air area where a live band plays traditional and contemporary music. Classic Hotel Ijebu Ode has several room categories: Executive Single, Double, Executive Double, Executive Suite and Crystal. The rooms are tastefully decorated and furnished, with fridges, air conditioning, flat-screen TVs with cable reception, private bathrooms and fans.
