I liked my time at Marchforte Courtyard and would come back, though I still want to find out how it got its name. The food arrived hot and fresh, and I ate in my room. I had to leave early the next morning, so I missed breakfast. The pool is small, but it was fine for a workout since I wasn’t training for a competition. I’d hoped to use the gym and book a spa session, but both were being renovated, so I called my masseuse to come to my room instead. The rooms are spacious and nicely furnished, with tasteful decor. They’re a little jaded, but still comfortable. I’d expected a hotel of no more than 30 rooms and was surprised to find it has over a hundred. It’s at the end of a cul-de-sac off UCH total garden road, inside an unremarkable gated estate. I had a fun time there, and, as the Terminator said, “I’ll be back.” I have unfinished business out there.

The room was very spacious, which was a plus, but the bathroom had a nasty smell for a Deluxe room. My husband and I had to beg and cajole just to get an extra towel. They said it was one towel per room, no matter how many people were staying 🙄

The staff were courteous and the ambience was decent and neat. Still, the AC didn’t circulate toward the bed, and I think the TCL units aren’t good enough for that. Water in the bathroom also drained poorly. Two friends staying in different rooms had the same issues. It wasn’t a bad experience, and I’d come back and recommend it, but I hope they look into those concerns.
