Silk Suites

The rooms are neatly laid out, and the staff make you feel welcome. I especially liked how easy the location is to explain. You can walk out to the gate and quickly find a taxi or other transport without much hassle. The place is clean and attractive, and I’d recommend it for hotel or apartment stays.

I booked a two-bedroom apartment for four days because it was supposed to have a kitchen, and I was assured there’d be a cooker and cookware. Neither was there. After just one night, I moved to the nearby Crispin Luxury Apartments, which had more complete services for less money. The staff were nonchalant, customer service was poor, and they seemed to have little understanding of what a serviced apartment should provide.

I paid the discounted rate of N25000, breakfast included, for a suite set up like a bungalow. It came with two toilets, a kitchenette, cable TV in both rooms, and cushioned chairs in the sitting room. They also left two bottles of water and tea supplies. Jos already makes for a lovely tourist destination, and staying here added a sweet memory to the trip. I’m looking forward to coming back.

Service was very good, and the surroundings are cool. There are single rooms, executive rooms with the sitting room downstairs and bedroom upstairs, and deluxe rooms with two upstairs bedrooms. The executive and deluxe options also have back doors. A very nice, commendable place.
