The setting looks beautiful, with nice aesthetics, but the upholstery needs proper care. I’d have a supervisor check that housekeeping is doing the job well. Sloppy work can quickly wear down the quality and appearance of the furnishings.

A calm, relaxing stay, and the staff were warm and welcoming. I can't remember all three receptionists' names, but there was a smiley lady and two guys, including Mr Tsok. The overall service was commendable, though one janitor's haste repeatedly showed in the details: the toilet wasn't properly attended to, and the bed was made with sheets that were clearly dirty. The breakfast menu was really brief and unavailable, so I'd like more choices for different tastes, and options available on request. The ambience and management's commitment to excellence still came through. Well done to management for making the place welcoming, and to the staff for their hard work! 😊👍

Parking was the main drawback for me. There's little space, so you might be woken up when someone needs to drive out, or end up parking outside. I didn't mind, though, and enjoyed my stay. The rooms are tastefully finished, but could feel small if space matters to you. I assume there are larger options at a higher price. It's a good place to stay in jos.

The food was nice, but the menu is extremely limited. I was also surprised they had no ice blocks when I asked for some for my drink. The staff didn't know much about places to visit in Jos, and when I asked them to call a taxi, an old cab without a/c showed up. I expected better attention to those details. The ambiance is nice, but the amenities fell short: the first room I got had a broken air conditioner, and the second had no hot water. When I complained, I got excuses instead of solutions.

The road to Swiss is the one small drawback, and it's under state jurisdiction, so not entirely within the hotel's control. Inside, the welcome was warm and the finishes are high quality, with the kind of details that give the place a luxurious feel. As an architect, I appreciated that. I also liked the practical extras, like a complimentary toothbrush, lotion, and cream, even though I had brought my own. Jos had a two-week power outage during my visit because bandit activities affected the northern power lines, but Swiss kept the lights on throughout my stay without raising prices. That's truly commendable. Of the 16 hotels I visited in Jos and nearby, Swiss was by far the best. I highly recommend it.
