Exclusive Hotel and Suites by K

The artwork throughout the hotel has a northern historical feel, and there’s clearly been thought put into the interior. In my slightly deluxe room, the wallpaper, modern AC and royal-looking reading desk matched the bedding design well. The room was spacious, the king-size bed and bedding were very comfortable, and the leather-textured sofa felt good, though a messy center table spoiled it. From outside, it doesn’t look like a suite or promise much, but once inside I felt I could have a good stay. K Suites isn’t world-class, but it’s a decent effort for a city like Kano. With some exterior work and plumbing upgrades, it could be a perfect place to stay. I didn’t try the food or laundry because they were somewhat over my budget.

The food let the place down. I was told the main chef wasn’t around, and they’d better get him back soon. It’s also a bit pricey, though there are lots of fast-food places within a 10-minute walk. The hotel is easy to reach in the heart of Kano. It’s not much to look at outside, but the facilities work, rooms are spacious and neat, and the halls are air-conditioned and well lit.

Daniel at reception was a great help, and Jack and the kitchen team were lovely. They make really good Hausa and Nigerian food. Nice rooms, courteous staff and a great ambience. I had a great stay at K suites.

The staff were very nice and helpful. The hotel itself is good, though a little expensive. They do need to improve the bathroom cleanliness.
