The room was clean and the AC worked fine. The food was good too, and the hotel is close to the airport. Still, the price feels high for what you get. They need to step up maintenance, and at this rate I’d expect complimentary breakfast at least. Not even tea and a slice of bread? Chai.

Decent room rates and a decent menu with reasonable prices. It’s good enough if you just need a simple place to lodge in Sabon Gari, Kano. I’d call it a 2-3 star hotel. The exterior looks cooler than the inside, and it’s a pretty standard place that needs regular maintenance to stand out. The toilets could use some work, and the elevator doesn’t work.

The road to the hotel isn’t tarred, and there’s so much sand that you’re likely to breathe in dust on the way there. Management could do something about that for the sake of the business. The location itself is easy to find. There wasn’t any footwear in the room’s convenience. I called the restaurant for breakfast, waited over 30 minutes, then called again. Only then did they tell me their cooking gas had run out. I had to leave because I was already late for work.

We stopped by the open bar with a couple of friends after the governorship election since it’s near the polling unit. The atmosphere was relaxed, the ambience was cool, service was prompt, and the stick meat was delicious. I do think they should get a proper sound system instead of using an MP3 player.
