The food wasn't worth writing home about, and the stay wasn't pleasant. I contacted the front desk lady twice about a concern, but she didn't respond or communicate with me for more than four hours. I'll leave it there.

The breakfast buffet was one of the best parts of my stay, and the lounge on the ground floor was fun. The food was good, the staff were polite and helpful, the rooms were nice, and a good room gives you a great view. The bathroom was clean and had the basics, and both the pool and bar were good. Power switched back and forth often, though quickly, between PHCN and generators. That's mostly down to Lagos's unreliable supply. It's a decent hotel, but a little overpriced.

The rooms are spacious and look luxurious at first, and the design accommodates people with physical challenges. But the fittings need attention: the door latches are rusty, the bathroom mirrors are old, and a leaking tap leaves water on the floor after bathing. The plumbing needs work, and the place needs renovation.

I was exhausted when I arrived, so seeing a coffee waiting on the table as soon as I walked in made it feel so good. That alone was a 10 for me.

We paid for a family room but were upgraded to an Executive room, more like an apartment, with a separate living room and bedroom, two restrooms, a dining table, couches, and two TVs. The rooms were lovely and well kept. We asked for an extra bed and they brought it in and set it up to match the main bed, with pillows and a duvet. The staff were really friendly and always smiling. Wi-Fi was very fast, which was handy since the TV had very few channels and we barely watched it. We could stream Netflix and Prime Video on our devices instead. Breakfast was a generous buffet with lots of options; I had it sent to my room for a small fee, and my two kids under five ate free. Really nice place to stay.
