We were finally moved to the extension on Christmas Day, but the night at Headquarters was a nightmare. The ACs didn’t work, and there was no water. When water did come, it smelled strongly of chlorine and left me itching. We’d booked two rooms in the extension for two nights in advance, but when we arrived on December 24, we got excuses and what felt like a deliberate effort to push us toward the other branches. The staff tried to make things right, and the food we ordered was tasty. Still, it felt like a total waste of money.

I’ve stayed at other Chatteaux de Atlantique branches, so I was surprised to see how little effort seems to have gone into renovating the Head Quarters.
