De Genesix Hotel

It's a lovely, comfortable place to stay, with a good location and prices that can fit your budget. The rooms have AC, and they say power is supplied 24 hours. Generators cover the power, but the AC isn't available around the clock because the smaller generator can't support it.

The food was really nice, but it took hours to arrive. Some staff were lovely, while quite a few were rude. We had to switch rooms three times because they were filthy, with dirt and cockroaches everywhere, so we brought our own sheets and towels. Management argued a lot, even with the exposed wires in the plug socket and dirt all over. Getting it sorted took forever. The first couple of days were awful, though the last ones weren't so bad. The pool was still dirty, and I definitely won't bring myself or my family back.

The cheapest room was N22,000 at the time. It was hard to find, even after navigating around or asking a local, and there was no signpost out front to show you'd arrived.

The rooms have plenty of space, and the staff are polite. Security also seemed good. But the surroundings are noisy, there’s mildew on parts of the walls, and the wardrobes look like they’re in poor shape.
