EAGLESPARK 1960 HOTELS

I was there for a week, Feb 12-19. The location is good, and I walked about 10 minutes to the Kalakuta Museum. The food tastes good, power is on 24 hours, though there’s no AC when the generator is running, and the staff are friendly. I had some good conversations with them. On the downside, as I discussed with the hotel manager, the hotel needs urgent renovation and a facelift, as well as fumigation for the cockroaches. There aren’t enough hangers in the wardrobes, the phone line to the kitchen doesn’t work, and the one to reception sometimes fails. ACs in one or two rooms don’t work. It’s only suitable for a very short stay.

It’s a good place to stay, but customer service needs work. The lady at the front desk looked more interested in her Android phone than helping me. She looked smart, but I’m not sure she’s had customer service training. She sat reluctantly through all my questions, which was annoying. I let it go because I have a cordial relationship with the owner. With Watercress just around the corner, you’d think they could make the most of that “indomie-selling other noodles” advantage.

My mom stayed for one night after I booked it for her, and she couldn’t stop talking about how friendly the staff were. The hotel is a bit old, but the customer service was excellent. Staff were ready to help with requests at any time. It’s affordable and very close to the International airport.

I booked a room, got there, and was disappointed enough that I couldn’t stay. The standards felt low, and some rooms don’t even have a heater in this day and age. The only difference between the 10k, 12k, and 15k rooms was the lighting and change of colours. I understand there’s an outside bar and a spa, which is nice, but this place is a no for me. I wouldn’t recommend it. Maybe it could work if you don’t expect much or have no other choice, and don’t care about standards.
