City Center Akure

My experience at the hotel was top notch.

I felt at home even though I was far away. The prices were worth it, and actually lower than in Lagos and Abuja. The imported furnishings look first class, the food was divine, and every meal I had topped the last one. The chefs deserve a raise. The atmosphere and customer service were great, and everyone seemed coordinated. Their conference hall is really cool too. Highly recommend it if you love luxury and class.

Service was poor, with too few waiters in the restaurant and a long wait for food. I also felt profiled here. After we ordered a meal that wasn’t very expensive, the chef suggested cancelling it because they weren’t ready to serve us.

I paid extra for swimming, then asked if I could choose something else worth the same amount. They refused, saying the money had gone into the swimming account. I wasn’t asking for a refund, just to pick something in the lounge for what I’d paid. What kind of management is that? They got extra money for a service they didn’t provide, and I ended up losing out. The whole thing spoiled my experience because they thought they were being clever. 😒
